Sister Amity sighs, and scribbles something down on a scrap of paper. She shoves it at Charlie.

Sister Amity: Here.

She’s written a letter that says

“Give this to your teacher:

Charlotte needs a permission slip for a book she wants from the library. I don’t know what the book is, so please write it down.

-Sister Amity”

Smash cut to Charlie standing outside the library, the door slamming behind her. Charlie looks pissed. She crumples the paper in her hand and throws it into the bushes.

Pepper and Avery pop out of those same bushes, the crumpled paper perched atop Pepper’s head.

Pepper: So?

Charlie: It didn’t work. I cried and everything!
