TRANSCRIPT

The three girls step into the small anteroom to the library. Everything is dark. Pepper lights a small, blue flame at the tip of her finger, and she closes the door behind them.

They approach the locked gate to the rest of the library.

Pepper: Can you unlock this, Charlie?

Charlie: My magic doesn’t work so good on iron. Maybe you could melt it?

Pepper: I’d basically be welding it shut. Besides, Sister Amity would DEFINITELY notice.

Avery: Let me try.

Pepper is surprised. She’s never seen Avery use her magic before.

Pepper: Are… are you sure?

Avery nods.
